Michael Smythe
BIOGRAPHY
- Michael grew up in Johannesburg and after completing National Service enrolled at WITS to study a Bachelor of Arts.
- He enrolled at UCT for an LLB which he completed in 1992, on graduating he worked for the Nedcor Group as a Legal Advisor and completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Tax Law at UCT in 1993.
- Michael joined the Southern Charter Group in 1994. Over the next 20 years his role as head of Tax Strategy and Financial Planning contributed to the growth of the company as a highly respected Financial Services Provider.
- He completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning at UFS in 2003 and earned the accreditation as a Certified Financial Planner.
- In 2013 he completed the Advanced Diploma in Tax Procedural Law at The Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego and followed this in 2014 with The Advanced Diploma in International Tax Law at the same institution.
- In 2014 Michael left Southern Charter and formed Armagh Financial Services.
